Make delicious Paneer tikka at Home 😋

The Paneer tikka Recipe :

Ingredients:


For Marinate :

- 250g paneer (cottage cheese), cut into cubes

- 1 cup  yogurt

- 2 tablespoon besan (gram flour)

- 1  ginger-garlic paste

- 1 tablespoon red chili powder

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon cumin powder

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- Salt, to taste

- 2 tablespoons oil


For the Tikkas:

- Onion, capsicum (bell pepper), and tomato, cut into cubes

- Skewers (wooden or metal)


For Garnish:

- Chopped coriander leaves

- Lemon wedges

- Chaat masala (optional)


Instructions to make Final product:


1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, besan, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, and oil. Mix well to make a smooth marinade.


2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and gently coat them with the mixture. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours. Longer marination will enhance the flavors.


3. While the paneer is marinating, soak the wooden skewers in water for about 20-30 minutes. This prevents them from burning while cooking.


4. After marination, thread the marinated paneer cubes, onion, capsicum, and tomato alternately onto the skewers.


5. Preheat your grill or tandoor to medium-high heat. You can also use an oven broiler.



6. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer and vegetables are slightly charred and cooked through. You can baste the paneer and veggies with a little oil or butter during cooking if desired.


7. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the heat.


8. Garnish the paneer tikka with chopped coriander leaves and a sprinkle of chaat masala for extra flavour. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.


9. Enjoy the paneer tikka as an appetizer or snack, along with mint chutney or your favourite dip.
